Mount Elgon is the oldest extinct Volcano in the East African region with an altitude of 4,321 meters above sea level. It comprises of 5 main peaks including Wagagai being the highest at 4,321 meters on Ugandan side.
The Sudek peak at 4,302 meters above sea level, and on the Uganda-Kenya border, Koitobos at 4,222 meters above sea level and found on Kenyan side, followed by Mubiyi at 4,211 meters above sea level and found on Ugandan side, and finally Masaba peak at 4,161 meters above sea level and on the Ugandan side.
